Happy Chinese New Year! We are blessed to live near Los Angeles and will be attending the huge dragon parade and festival this Saturday. I am soooo excited! ;-)
So we kept Chinese New Year low key. I forgot to buy red envelopes so I hid coins in the backyard for the boys to hide, and then we made tambourines in honor of the year of the Monkey.
My focus this year is becoming more proficient at cooking Chinese food since I believe it will help Bella's adjustment. Also, she is from South China where Cantonese food is predominant, at least that's what it said online, so I choose a lot of recipes that she will hopefully enjoy. ;-)
I am committed to cooking Chinese food from recipes all month long! It has been a huge success so far and so much fun. I took pictures of the recipes if you wanted to try any of them. The pan bread, the broccoli beef, and the egg drop soup were some of our favorites so far. We also made a trip to 99 Ranch Market and picked up all our favorites treats.
HaoChi!! Which means delicious. ;-)
